The Rev. Adam Hamilton, pastor at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kan., will be the featured presenter at the 2009 New England Annual Conference session. Hamilton will lead a number of sessions during the Conference, which will be held June 18-20, 2009 at Gordon College in Wenham, MA. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.  

Is One Dollar enough to help fight the Global AIDS crisis?  In the past five years, three Annual Conference resolutions have stated the New England Conference goal for our churches to raise $1 per member, or approximately $97,000, by the end of 2008. To encourage churches to fulfill their part, Bishop Peter Weaver has personally challenged every church to support World AIDS Day this December, and to meet that $1 per member goal before the end of 2008. Rev. Barbara Cann and Rev. Bruce Young, on behalf of the Council on Finance and Administration (CFA) for the New England Conference, are pleased to announce the hiring of William V. Burnside, II to serve as Conference Treasurer/Director of Administration.   Mr. Burnside comes to the New England Conference staff from a career in corporate finance and management. He has more than 25 years of experience in accounting, finance and business planning, and is an active and long-time member of Jesse Lee Memorial UMC in Ridgefield, CT.
