Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church in Natick, MA is preparing a special hands-on Holy Land experience for Saturday, Dec. 5, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This come-and-go event, A Night in Bethlehem helps us begin the Advent season leading to Christmas. It is designed to help us remember why we started celebration to begin with, said Senior Pastor The Rev. Dr. Seth O. Asare. Characters in Biblical costumes will roam about telling the story of the young family from Nazareth who have just given birth to their first child, a son. Those attending will experience the feel, taste, sound and smells of what life was like at this miraculous time. We may even get a peek at the baby!Asare said. Crafts, authentic food, music, and games that children would have played the year Jesus was born will transport the family back to that amazing night when God became man and lived among us for a little while. While there is no admission cost, registration is required. The event is open to the public. Youth groups with adult chaperones are welcomed! Please pre-register by November 20th. Additional information may be obtained by calling the church office, (508) 653-1674 or email at fiskumc@aol.com.
