Deadlines for changing conference relationship (requests must be in writing): 

- Retirement
para.358.  (120 days before effective) - if effective July 1, then request deadline is March 1, 2009

  • Send written request to the Bishop, with copies to the Conference Relations co-chairs (see above) and the Conference Benefits Office (Janis Salesi, Benefits Coordinator, Benefits@neumc.org or (978) 682-8055 ext 121.)

- Voluntary Leave of Absence
para.354 (personal, family, or transitional).  (90 days before Annual Conference, except transitional) - March 18, 2009

  • Send written request to the Conference Relations co-chairs (see above) with copies to the Bishop and the District Superintendent
  • Request to end voluntary leave (except transitional) must be in writing at least 6 months prior to Annual Conference

- Sabbatical Leave
para.352.  (6 months prior to Annual Conference)

  • Send written request to the Conference Relations co-chairs (see above) with copies to the Bishop and the District Superintendent
